• Conversational French Language Group
    Thursday, June 21 at 6 p.m.

  • Fiber Arts Group

    All are welcome to join our Fiber Arts Group.  
    If you embroider, cross-stitch, sew, weave, quilt, whatever you do - if it’s done with fiber and it’s portable, we welcome you.

  • Lego and Rubik‚Äôs Cube Club
    Friday, June 22 at 3 p.m.

    Let the brain games begin!     A fun program for kids and adults alike!  Carol Steingart of Coast Encounters will be at the library to present a program on local sea life.  Come explore various organisms to witness their wonderful camouflage abilities.   • Lunch and Learn: Marine Mammals

    Marine Mammals of Maine is a non-profit organization dedicated to marine mammal and sea turtle response, rescue, care, research, and education. Please join us for an informative presentation about who they are, what they do, and how you can get involved. Attendees will learn how to react when encountering a marine mammal or sea turtle. The presentation will even feature a mock seal rescue! This summer, kids age 3 to entering fourth grade are invited to participate in the “Libraries Rock!” Summer Reading Program.  Register online or in person, and then come by to receive a bag with prizes and instructions on how to participate in the program.  This free event is sponsored by the Friends of the Wells Public Library.

Teen Summer Reading Program: Libraries Rock!
June 18-August 11

This summer tweens and teens entering fifth through twelfth grade are invited to register online or in person for “Libraries Rock!”  This age will earn raffle tickets throughout the summer.  Each Friday from June 22 through August 3 we will be giving away prize baskets; on August 10 we will present grand prizes!  This free event is sponsored by the Friends of the Wells Public Library.

Adult Summer Reading Program: Libraries Rock!

Construction Begins!

The Wells Public Library is pleased to announce that construction began on its long awaited building project. Beginning in August, the front parking lot will be closed to the public for approximately 6 months. 

The front entrance to the building will remain open.
